Honoring URDA for Its Humanitarian Efforts During the War in Lebanon!

The Union of Institutions in Saida honored URDA for its “national and humanitarian efforts during the September 2024 aggression, supporting the nation’s resilience and victory.”

During the 66 days of war, we mobilized with full readiness, responding swiftly to the call of humanitarian duty. In collaboration with other humanitarian actors, we provided relief and assistance over several months. Our efforts included the delivery of food, medicine, healthcare services, and psychological support to hundreds of war-affected individuals—a mission we continue to uphold today.

As a gesture of recognition, the Secretariat of the Union of Institutions in Saida, under the patronage of the Municipality of Saida, organized a ceremony to honor local institutions, international organizations, first responders, and individual initiatives that contributed during the war in Lebanon.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Saida, Dr. Hazem Bdeir, and the President of the Union of Institutions in Saida, Majed Hamto. Both delivered speeches expressing their gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of local institutions, international organizations, first responders, and individual initiatives that worked tirelessly during the war in Lebanon.

This recognition reflects the collective spirit of solidarity and resilience demonstrated during one of the nation’s most challenging times. URDA reaffirms its commitment to serving communities in need, strengthening partnerships, and continuing its humanitarian mission to provide hope and relief to those affected by conflict and crisis.
