A Trace That Stays Reaches 150,000 Beneficiaries: URDA Concludes One of Lebanon’s Largest Eid Al-Adha Humanitarian Campaigns

Achievements of the Eid Al-Adha 2026 Campaign  “A Trace That Stays”

The Union of Relief and Development Associations URDA has successfully concluded its 2026 Eid Al-Adha campaign, “A Trace That Stays,” following several days of intensive humanitarian action across Lebanon. Through this campaign, URDA teams reached thousands of vulnerable families, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and compassion that defines one of the organization’s largest annual seasonal initiatives.

The campaign included the implementation of the Qurbani project across different Lebanese governorates, benefiting more than 30,000 families, equivalent to approximately 150,000 individuals. Beneficiaries included vulnerable Lebanese families, Syrian and Palestinian refugees, as well as displaced families residing in collective shelters and schools.

Qurbani meat portions were distributed according to a comprehensive field plan covering all major areas of operation. A total of 14,910 families in the Bekaa, 2,100 families in Baalbek, 8,380 families in North Lebanon (Akkar and Tripoli), 1,765 families in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, and 2,845 families in Saida received assistance. Each family received a 2-kilogram meat portion, prepared and distributed in accordance with the highest Islamic, health, and food safety standards.

Throughout the days of Eid, URDA’s field and logistics teams worked around the clock to ensure that assistance reached beneficiaries in a timely and dignified manner, despite ongoing operational and security challenges in some areas. The campaign reaffirmed URDA’s commitment to supporting the most vulnerable communities wherever they are.

Beyond Qurbani distribution, the campaign also featured a series of Eid festivals and recreational activities organized in North Lebanon, Saida, and South Lebanon. These events brought joy and hope to children and families during the Eid holiday, with more than 2,100 children participating in educational and recreational activities designed to celebrate the spirit of Eid.

As part of its support for orphaned children, URDA also implemented a special Eid clothing initiative, providing Eid outfits for more than 500 orphaned children, helping them celebrate the occasion with dignity and happiness.

URDA extends its sincere appreciation to all donors, partners, and supporters around the world whose generosity made this campaign possible. The organization also thanks municipalities, local stakeholders, volunteers, and field teams whose dedication and efforts ensured the successful delivery of assistance to those most in need.

“A Trace That Stays” reflects a belief that the impact of giving extends far beyond the days of Eid. Its positive effects continue to live on in the lives of thousands of families who found support, dignity, and hope through these humanitarian interventions.
