Union of Relief and Development Associations in Lebanon (URDA) attended the ceremony honoring the top ten students in the 2024 official high school exams. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education at UNESCO Palace under the patronage of Minister of Education, Dr. Abbas Halabi.
The Education Sector at URDA played a leading role in supporting the top students by providing financial aid to the first five top achievers, as an expression of URDA’s belief that education is the fundamental pillar for building society and that these young individuals are the future leaders of Lebanon.
Mr. Mohamed Abdulaziz, Manager of URDA’s Education Sector, emphasized that supporting outstanding students is part of the sector’s strategy, adding that investing in future generations is an investment in Lebanon’s future. He also stated, “At URDA, we believe that education is the foundation of development, and the success of these students is evidence of the importance of providing a supportive educational environment, despite the challenges Lebanon is facing.”
The ceremony was attended by many educational figures, as well as the families of the honored students. Everyone expressed their pride in the achievements of these students who have elevated Lebanon’s name in the field of education.
It is worth mentioning that URDA works to support education in various forms through multiple programs aimed at enhancing access to high-quality education for Lebanese students and refugees, creating the right conditions for academic excellence, and contributing to building a generation that is aware and capable of taking on responsibility.
