The Union of Relief and Development Associations in Lebanon (URDA) continues its Ramadan Project implementation for the year 1441H/2021, in different Lebanese regions. Through these projects, the Relief Sector is providing help to the vulnerable and people in need from the Syrian and Palestinian refugees. It also aims to help Lebanese families in need with low-income, orphans, widows, the sick and their families to create hope in their lives.
Since day one, the Relief teams have been distributing their tasks over different Lebanese regions from the North to the South like Beqaa, Aarsal, Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
The beneficiaries of the projects were 37,310 families approximately167,895 individuals. The projects have distributed, till now, 22,901 food parcels and 14,409 hot meals.
“The Month of Hope” Campaign initiatives have reached out to kids who have been excitedly waiting for Ramadan and Eid. Just like Nour, a 9-year-old living in one of Beqaa camps, said about Eid: “I’m waiting for Eid to wear new clothes, play with my new toys, and share sweets with my siblings and friends.”
At the end, URDA would like to thank all donor organizations and international and national partners for their ongoing support throughout different Lebanese issues. And with Eid approaching, URDA would like to appeal the generous people and donors to continue participating to help the people in need.
