With hearts full of sorrow and grief, the Union of Relief and Development Associations in Lebanon (URDA) extends its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, the injured, and all those affected by the tragic events that shook our nation yesterday, marked by the explosion of the pagers that claimed the lives of children, women, and others. The devastating loss of life, especially among the children and youth who represent the future of this country, and the women who were safe in their homes, leaves a deep wound in the hearts of all of us.
Words cannot express the magnitude of the pain felt by the families of the victims and those affected. This tragedy has not only touched homes but has struck at the core of our society and the dreams of our rising generations. Today, we stand by every family that has lost a loved one or has suffered due to these events, expressing our full solidarity with them during these difficult times.
URDA renews its commitment to providing all possible support to those affected, whether through direct humanitarian aid or other forms of assistance. We understand that recovering from this ordeal will take time and tremendous effort, but we promise to continue working tirelessly to alleviate the suffering, heal the wounds, and contribute to rebuilding communities and securing a safer and brighter future for our children and youth.
