Under the food security program and in collaboration with our Japanese partnering organization, 特定非営利活動法人パルシック/ PARCIC, our protection sector conducted an agricultural training that targeted Syrian refugee women living in abject poverty in Lebanon.
This training, which was handled by an agricultural engineer and under URDA’s supervision, targeted breastfeeding and pregnant women particularly, taking into consideration the gender-based violence protocol and the necessary preventive measures related to COVID-19.
Our agricultural training was dedicated to pregnant and breastfeeding women considering the importance of healthy food to this category of women at this stage of their lives. Agronomy kits were distributed to beneficiaries for planting and harvesting, in addition to practical practices.
