URDA Gears Up for Eid Al-Adha: Intensive Field Preparations and Promises of Ongoing Giving

In a scene that repeats each year, and grows in significance amid mounting challenges, the relief teams of the Union of Relief and Development Associations (URDA) are preparing to welcome Eid Al-Adha with a comprehensive humanitarian campaign aimed at reaching thousands of families across various regions of Lebanon, under this year’s slogan: “Our Promises Continue.”

The campaign kicks off in the Bekaa region, where preparations for the sacrifice of livestock are underway at specialized slaughterhouses adhering to the highest health and Islamic standards. Operations will later extend to the North, Beirut, and the South. URDA is working in collaboration with certified butchers who strictly follow Islamic guidelines throughout the sacrifice process.

In addition to distributing sacrificial meat, the campaign also includes providing Eid clothing for children and families in need, as well as distributing gifts and sponsorships to orphans, an effort to restore joy to homes burdened by harsh economic and social conditions.

In South Lebanon, despite ongoing security challenges and the impacts of war, URDA’s teams are preparing to hold an Eid Festival that carries a message of hope and solidarity for those affected. The festival aims to offer psychological and social support to children through field-based recreational and humanitarian activities.

URDA emphasized that this campaign is a continuation of its humanitarian mission and ongoing commitment to anyone in need of support. During these blessed days, URDA renews its promise to stand by the vulnerable, wherever and whenever they may be.
