URDA Participated in an “Explosive Ordnance Awareness” Training!

The Union of Relief and Development Associations in Lebanon (URDA) participated in a training workshop titled “Explosive Ordnance Risk Education” at its headquarters, which was conducted by DCA.

The training focused on raising awareness about the dangers of explosive remnants of war, including mines and unexploded ordnance, and how to stay safe in such environments.

This information is especially relevant following the aftermath of the war in Lebanon, where the risks of explosive remnants continue to pose a significant threat to the safety and well-being of communities. The workshop provided essential knowledge to help prevent further harm in these areas, contributing to efforts aimed at rebuilding and securing a safer future for those affected.

During the workshop, participants learned practical measures to identify, avoid, and report these threats to prevent accidents and save lives. Emphasis was placed on educating attendees about the critical risks posed by explosive ordnance and the necessary steps to protect themselves and their communities.
