URDA has recently ranked third after UNHCR and UNRWA in secondary healthcare admissions, according to UNHCR’s semi-annual report.
It is worth mentioning that the healthcare sector in URDA is concerned with providing primary and secondary health care to all those in need of Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian nationalities, in an attempt to reduce the gap in health services available to them, especially in light of the limited international organizations concerned in this area compared to the size of the needs, especially since the cost of medicine and hospitalization is far higher in Lebanon than the Lebanese citizen and refugees can afford.
