In a step that reflects its commitment to integrating technology with human values, the Union of Relief and Development Associations in Lebanon (URDA) participated in the “Artificial Intelligence and Humanity” Forum held in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, represented by its Executive Director, Jihan Kaisi.
In her address at the forum, Jihan emphasized that “Artificial intelligence may be capable of saving lives, but only the human heart can heal them.” She affirmed that no matter how advanced technology becomes, it can never replace the genuine emotions humans carry toward one another. She added: “AI can analyze data, but only a human being can wipe a tear and plant hope in someone’s heart.”
URDA’s participation embodied Lebanon’s humanitarian vision at a time when technology is rapidly advancing, reaffirming that true progress is not measured by what machines produce, but by the compassion and solidarity carried within human hearts.
