URDA Volunteer Mohammad Al Haroun Dies in a Refugee Camp in Beqaa

Two days ago, we received the unfortunate news of the passing of URDA’s volunteer, Mohammad Al Haroun, a Syrian refugee at Al Yasmine refugee camp, at the age of 32 due to an asthma attack that proved fatal.

The exacerbation of his asthma was the result of the poor conditions of the tent he lived in together with his family. Mohammad was a hardworking and dedicated volunteer with URDA and had been part of our aid to refugees during the storms that ravaged the refugee camps in winter.

Mohammad Al Haroun died young and left his wife and two young children who had nothing to do with this tragedy except that they were all born refugees.

We offer our heartfelt condolences to Mohammad’s family and loved ones.
