The quarantine and general mobilization measures did not prevent the Turkish organization, YTB (Yurtdışı Türkler ve Akraba Topluluklar Başkanlığı) from delivering relief services to those in need in light of the current deteriorating health and economic conditions in Lebanon. YTB managed to provide food parcels to Syrian refugees during the month of Ramadan, which is passing this year amidst a global pandemic that is threatening most of the world’s population.
In a joint collaboration that is the first of its kind, URDA, with the generous funding of YTB, distributed food parcels to 200 refugee families in Bekaa and Aarsal, thus benefiting around 1,000 beneficiaries.
The aid targeted the poorest Syrian families in Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon while complying with all public safety requirements to hinder the spread of the COVID-19.
All thanks go to YTB and to all those who are contributing to supporting those in need during this holy month.
