Today, on August 9, 2023, Mr. Magoshi Masayuki, the Japanese Ambassador to Lebanon, received a delegation from the Union of Relief and Development Associations in Lebanon (URDA) in an official visit aimed at enhancing humanitarian cooperation and discussing the humanitarian situation in Lebanon. The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Board of URDA, Dr. Mashhur Mouna, and the Executive Director, Ms. Jihan Al Qaisi.
The meeting revolved around the humanitarian situation in Lebanon and explored ways of collaboration between URDA and the Japanese Embassy to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable individuals and promote sustainable development.
In this context, the delegation members expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Ambassador for the exceptional partnership with URDA, which encompasses various humanitarian projects, notably in the healthcare sector. They also highlighted the importance of joint efforts in achieving goals and addressing current humanitarian challenges in Lebanon.
The meeting concluded with presenting a commemorative shield to Ambassador Masayuki as an acknowledgment of his continuous humanitarian efforts and prominent role in enhancing cooperation and understanding between the two countries.”
