Amsha, a symbol of the past and present of Syria. An old lady who you cannot ignore simply because of her captivating smile that radiates through any place in which she can be found.
Her soul cannot be any more youthful, despite her old age and fragile body which is burdened with years in which she witnessed the long, good days in Syria and the painful years of displacement and poverty here in her refugee camp in Bekaa.
Amsha does not like to smile because she lost her remaining teeth, but how can we convince her that this smile is unparalleled and desperately needed in such difficult days where we need such a hopeful smile that has the power to bring hope, joy, and warmth to our hearts?
