URDA’s Education Sector Distributes School Supplies to 500 Students in Aarsal

Pursuant to article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which provides for the right to learn, URDA’s education sector, with the generous support of Japanese donors, provided school bags, textbooks, and stationery, as well as hygiene kits in an initiative that spread joy among 500 students at Al-Nour School in Aarsal.

Last Sunday, 10 January 2021, volunteers and beneficiary students took all the necessary preventive measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus so that school supplies could be provided in batches.

This step was taken a few days before the announcement of the general mobilization decision, where students received all the educational requirements at a time when the teaching staff and all students are committed to the technology of online distance learning.

“We believe that enhancing the quality of education and providing opportunities for refugee children is an integral part of the response to the refugee emergency crises,” said Hamza Diab, Aarsal’s Educational Projects Coordinator, stressing that such projects will contribute to educating students, expanding their horizons, and motivating them to learn in various ways.”
