The child has the right, upon his birth, to be registered and to acquire proof of identity and nationality under the Convention on the Rights of the Child issued by the General Assembly of the United Nations and which Lebanon ratified in 1991. URDA works through its projects to ensure that children obtain this right and to provide legal aid to them and their families and calls for the easing of procedures that impede that.
