The Union of Relief and Development Associations (URDA) in Lebanon has concluded the “Eid for All” campaign for the year 2023/1444 AH, targeting 14,054 vulnerable families of various Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian nationalities in different regions of Lebanon. This year’s sacrifices included 372 sheep, 187 calves, and 145 goats in Arsal, Bekaa, the North, and reaching Saida in the south.
During the four days of Eid, URDA’s field teams were fully prepared to distribute the sacrificial meat to the needy around the clock, in accordance with religious and health standards to ensure the safety and compliance of the meat with health requirements, especially in the face of rising temperatures.
The number of workers involved in this year’s sacrificial season exceeded 200 individuals, with volunteers making up the majority. They chose to spend Eid serving the needy, away from their own families, in accordance with the tradition of sacrifice.
In addition, as a contribution to promoting the spirit of giving for everyone without exception, URDA organized an entertainment festival in the Yasmine Camp in the Bekaa, featuring various entertainment activities for 600 children of different nationalities, with the participation of over 50 volunteers from the American University in Beirut.
In conclusion, URDA expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation to the supporters and partners who provided assistance and support to low-income families, bringing joy to the hearts of their children and loved ones. Thanks are also extended to the municipalities in the regions and all volunteers for facilitating and organizing the distribution process
