URDA Continues its Humanitarian Support for the Lebanese

Amidst the economic crisis that devastates the Lebanese, URDA managed to intervene through its “Lebanese Needy Families Aid” project to support the Lebanese families that have been impacted by the current situation through the provision of food parcels and necessary supplies during the winter season.

Last Tuesday, URDA distributed food parcels to 100 underserved Lebanese families in the town of Qaddam in Baalbek, in the presence of its Mayor Elia Hanna Hadchiti who praised URDA’s important humanitarian role in tackling the current increasing poverty in Lebanon and its negative impact on the people of Qaddam, who suffer from a shortage in food items, poor health, and bad living conditions. He then added: ” URDA’s humanitarian efforts should spread all Lebanon to spread the values of love and tolerance among the people of this country “.

In the same context, URDA’s field team visited Andrew Youssef Geagea’s family who is a child suffering from a rare blood disease, classified as the eighth dangerous medical case in the world and is in urgent need of medicines and regular treatment.

URDA’s field visit will not stop in Qaddam town where aids are expected to reach different Lebanese regions. These humanitarian efforts are in accordance with URDA’s mission, which aims at supporting and developing individuals in Lebanon regardless of race, sex, color, or political, religious or sexual affiliation.
