During “16 days of activism”, the GBV program provided 3 sessions for a total of 41 women/girls in Beirut area who were affected by the Beirut Blast, in which 16 participants attended in Sin El Fil, 14 in Bourj Hammoud, and 11 in Gemayzeh.
On December 8, 2020, our S/GBV program provided a GBV awareness session to 11 women in Gemayzeh area. The session topic covered the types, causes, and effects of gender-based violence and what women/girls should do in case they were exposed to GBV, as well as the reporting mechanisms to be used.
Moreover, the session included two activities, the first was a handprint activity in solidarity with women/girls survivors while the second was a drawing activity aiming at allowing participants to express their thoughts and feelings toward GBV. This productive day was one of our activities in the 16 days of activism in collaboration with UNFPA Lebanon.
