URDA’s Protection Sector Continues its Women’s Empowerment Project in the North

Because economic and social support for women is a key goal that URDA’s protection sector strives to achieve, the Women’s Empowerment Program, supported by COSPE, continues to provide vocational training and training courses including sewing, beauty, and cooking courses, in addition to financing small enterprises through financial accommodations and no-interest micro-loans.

The project benefited around 120 widowed women and family breadwinners in the north.

The project’s coordinator, Ms. Dima Ghazal, stressed that these courses and accommodations are all about investing in women and allowing them to prove themselves and develop their potential, which is a unique opportunity to support livelihoods. She also thanked all the supporters and sponsors of this project.
