On Friday, June 18th, 2020, the protection sector in the Union of Relief and Development Associations (URDA) participated in the COVID-19 vaccination campaign targeting Syrian refugees in Al-Inmaa refugee camp in Akkar, as well as groups from the host community.
The vaccination campaign, funded by the Kuwaiti Red Crescent, was conducted in cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross under the supervision of the Lebanese Health Ministry, where 106 beneficiaries received the Pfizer-BionTech vaccine.
The protection team participated in organizing periodic awareness campaigns in a number of refugee camps to encourage refugees to get vaccinated, as it has a positive impact on reducing the spread of COVID-19, particularly in densely populated camps.
