To promote the principles of philanthropy during this stormy weather, which came with strong gales, torrential rain and hailstorm that caused hunger and sickness among the poor in Lebanon, Sadaqa Welfare Fund in collaboration with URDA, has provided winter aid to refugee and poor families in Aarsal and Bekaa as part of its “Emergency Winter Relief” project.
The project included the distribution of heating fuel, food parcels, winter clothes, and blankets to around 550 underserved families (2,750 individuals).
One of the beneficiaries confirmed that the winter season is considered one of the most difficult times in these remote areas, where temperatures reach below zero degrees. He, then, expressed his gratitude for such projects that ease the burden of his family, thanking Sadaqa and all those who helped to implement this project.
