The Union of Relief and Development Associations (URDA) organized an entertainment festival on the third day of Eid al-Fitr for about 700 children in the Al-Yasmeen camp in Bekaa, in a distinctive humanitarian initiative to relieve the participating children and their families from the economic conditions and other challenges that increased the suffering of families in Lebanon in general.
The festival’s activities included inflatable games and musical entertainment, in addition to presenting gifts and sweets and drawing on children’s faces.
One of the volunteers involved in organizing the festival stressed the importance of continual volunteering and creating initiatives of all kinds, especially initiatives specialized in supporting children who constitute the largest proportion of the residents of Al-Yasmeen camp, who really need aid and psychological support.
In conclusion, the children and the organizers of the festival thanked the generous donors who contributed to supporting this initiative through the Global Giving website.
