Within the framework of joint project targeted to improve refugees’ capacities to comply to the preventive measures and access to Covid-19 healthcare services, Gevena call invited URDA to participate in a panel discussion on the “challenges faced by vulnerable communities in Lebanon during COVID-19 pandemic” held last Wednesday 24/3/2021 at Crown Plaza Hotel Hamra.
URDA presented the results of the focus group discussions recently conducted with 47 participants, including the healthcare providers and Syrian refugees, from 6 different areas in Lebanon which tackled the current situation and the challenges faced in securing preventive kits and medications’ costs, particularly the chronic ones. A set of recommendations was also presented to the decision makers to improve the refugees’ abilities to access Covid-19 healthcare services.
