With generous funding from the Japanese people, the education sector in the Union of Relief and Development Associations (URDA) is renovating and maintaining the Al Nour School’s playground, as well as the stairs inside the building and bathrooms on the first floor. These renovations are in keeping with the principles of URDA’s education sector concerning the quality of education and ensuring a safe environment for children in their home and school settings. No work is complete without the provision of all the necessary requirements for the protection and safety of the learner in his or her school.
As such, the sector is striving to restore and maintain these facilities in a manner appropriate to the presence of children and young people in any educational building. It should be noted that the renovations took place during the weekends and the holiday of Eid al-Adha, where the school did not and will not close its doors to its students during the summer course.
