The Legal Protection Program in URDA is pursuing a field study on the legal status and needs of married Syrian refugee women in the Bekaa area. 170 women have so far been interviewed to study their legal basic needs, such as their need to prove marriage or divorce, birth registration, and other legal matters.
The importance of the field study in humanitarian action lies in the fact that it is the primary method of obtaining information, identifying needs through observation, direct contact with the target group of the study, as well as guiding humanitarian action based on the results of the study.
