As part of a series of training sessions carried out by the protection sector in URDA, with the funding of the Japanese organization PARCIC, a training session on agricultural and food rehabilitation was held on Thursday 11 December 2020 targeting 75 Syrian refugee women in the border town of Aarsal, most of whom are nursing and pregnant women.
This training comes under the development objectives that provide refugee women with opportunities to improve their agricultural development capabilities and help them integrate into society. The course included guidance on agriculture and harvesting skills during winter and how to produce high-value crops in a climate-volatile area like Aarsal.
The training concluded with the distribution of agricultural seedlings and training certificates to participants who in turn thanked all of those responsible for conducting such an activity, which allowed them to learn new skills that will enable them to improve their lives at various levels, especially health one.
