On Sunday, 21 December 2021, the Union of Relief and Development Associations (URDA) distributed 60 food parcels to 60 Lebanese families in the town of Al-Qdam, a Lebanese village in Baalbek district.
Al-Qdam municipality’s mayor Naji Al-Hadchiti stressed that the situation of the Lebanese, especially in Baalbek, requires support and attention in light of the deteriorating economic and health conditions in the country, praising the humanitarian projects of URDA, which had been reaching the needy of all nationalities and affiliations. Mayor Hadchiti thanked the relief teams who faced the extreme cold and committed themselves to all preventive measures to provide food parcels to the people Qdam village, which has always been an example of brotherhood and coexistence.
It is noteworthy that URDA’s winter projects will continue in various areas in Lebanon targeting the most vulnerable families, where more than 250,000 relief services have been distributed cumulatively since the launch of the “Winter Wish” campaign in December 2020 to impoverished families in the Bekaa, Aarsal and Akkar areas who were most affected by the severe weather conditions.
